Guess you never heard the song Luka by Suzanne Vega? It's a song sung in first person by an abused child. "My name is Luka, I live on the second floor .... they only hit until you cry, and after that you don't ask why, you just don't argue any more.... I guess I'd like to be alone, with nothing broken, nothing thrown, just don't ask me how I am."
ReplyDeleteThanks Spike. I’ve always regarded Luka as a boy’s name. Even though Suzanne Vega sang it in the first person, there is a boy referenced in the music video. If the name Luka is a feminine form, then I’ll happily change the category.
