Reminds me of bogan names, where they have made up "unique" (most people think plain weird) or slightly modified normal names.

  2. Thanks AW. Low education levels has been suggested for the proliferation of novel names in the English language. Think about unique or weird names that originate from communities like African-Americans in the US and Bogans in Australia.

So, do Asian communities, who have little or no knowledge of grammar and "proper" English culturalisms also fall into this "school of thought"? There's certainly a case for it.
